And in 2 days, it's Dad's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!
So I'm feeling good this week. Do you remember "The 4th Missionary" talk that impacted me at the beginning of the mission? Well, it talks about how the 4th missionary accepts the will of the Lord, and stops the internal struggle against what they should do, and what the would rather do, and then they are happier. Well, I've got to that point with the whole overwhelming task of the 40 Day purifying challenge. We started it, and even though we still have to work on things, I can see how the Lord is blessing our efforts and opening up the way for us. And really, why should I get all angsty about having to make positive changes that include being more punctual, being less negative and complain-y, and puttin more effort into my work? The whole point of the Gospel is change to make us better people. It's a happy thing!
I really enjoyed the women's conference on Saturday. All the talks were really good, and we got to watch it in English!!!! Elder Uchtdorf's talk touched a little on this idea about how the attributes of Christ--faith, hope, and charity--make us happier.
I am so pumped about General Conference this weekend, you have no idea. Hna. Ririe and I and the elders are going to watch it in English on the nice, big family history center computer, and there's air conditioning in there! We're going to have popcorn and Choco Rica, and WE"RE GOING TO FIND OUT WHO THE NEW APOSTLES ARE!!!! We also have several investigators who will be going and it is just such a wonderful weekend! There is aways something the Lord needs us to hear during General Conference, and it is amazing and beautiful how the message is so personal while being broadcasted all over the world.
There is a video on lds.org about how the church donates prosethetics to people in wheelchairs in the DR. You can see what the DR looks like! Also, Marinito, a menos activo in Navarrete that has reactivated was in a church wheelchair and is working on getting his prosthetic leg too!

Hope you are all well, Happy October!
