Thank you all for sending me messages! I love you guys!
I am so saddened to hear about Sis. Davis. I will pray for her family and Danielle as well. I am glad however that so many people are reaching out to them.
Well I hope to celebrate Easter watching General Conference, but the interent transmission to our chapel is bad. Really bad. We tried watching the Women´s meeting, but it took 2 hours trying to watch 15 minutes. Also, the sad thing about being in a little Dominican branch is that no one but the sister missionaries show up on time. And then the first counselor and his wife show up 20 minutes late to help set it up, but they don´t know how. And then we just try watching it on the secretary´s computer, because only one other woman shows up an hour late and it doesn´t work. So be grateful that these things run smoothly in America.
I´m preparing myslef for next week when Hna. Harden leaves. I´ll be taking over the area and that´s a big deal. I feel like there is work for me to do, and it´s going to require a lot of effort. I´m just going to rely on the enabling power of grace (teaching about that today) to carry me through!
Mayor is still doing great. We had a tick infestation in our door from Doki. Hope that´s cleared up. To be honest, the writing home thing is kind of stresing me out because there is no where near enough time to describe my life to you guys, and so many things happen that by Wednesday, my brain is a little empty of organized thoughts. Oh yeah, this is late because we went to Moa, Hna.´s first area yesterday . I´m sure next week I´ll have interesting things to say. Hey there´s a parade marching down the street, don´t know what that´s for. Marching band! There´s all these service people marching. They said it´s for Holy Week.
So there´s your exciting Dominican tidbit. Ambulances and Red Cross marching for Easter!
Love,
Hna. J.
