So I got transfered :D I am now in Monte Cristi, it's right next to the border with Haiti, close to the ocean, and it's super hot, and dusty--very reminiscent of home actually (but with even MORE dust, I'll take pictures). It's in the Dajabon zone, which is currently the best zone in the mission, and it's a pretty awesome privilige to be here. My companion is Hna. Macias. She is also from Mexico, and I really like her already. I'm excited to get to work!
It was hard to leave the people of Villa behind (though not THAT hard). Teaching Mayor's parents was really cool. His dad is a man of great faith, and has a strong trust in God. He's doubting Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon, but he also doesn't really understand it well, so he'll get there. But he really wants to know, and I like that. Today he's going to meet with Mayor and read the BoM together. He also LOVES the Proclamation on the Family, and is going to hang it up in their front room.
I ran out of time today, but I'll try to send photos next week because it has been a looooong time without them, and you can hear more about Monte Cristi!
Love you all so much, thank you for the support during the last transfer. We can overcome the trials!
