December 30th-
Well, the past week has been hard as far as missionary work goes what with everyone going out of town for the holidays. We´ve had some good lessons though.
We got a reference of a youth who has gone to church two times now, stays all 3 hours and loves it. Before he met us, and when he was invited to go to church the first time, he prayed asking God if he should attend the church and got the answer that he should. He is very thoughtful and makes sure he understands everything very thoroughly. If his mom gives him permission to be baptized, he will be.
Today I´m visiting Villa Gonzalez. It´s really nice that this mission lets us visit our old areas in the last transfer. Very few do from what I understand. Last week was nice, being in Monte Cristi again. I got to see one of the converts that got baptized after I left last transfer. Listening to her talk about her baptism was oneof the happiest moments of my mission. She said she knew it would be a special moment, but she had know idea how special. Her brother, who is a counselor to Pres. Castillo baptized her and confirmed her and she said that the confirmation was the best part.
My testimony of the preisthood has grown a lot over the mission. On Sunday the elders gave one of our menos activas a blessing for the sick, and the Spirit was very strong in that moment. The Lord has such great promises for us. What a privilige that we know of them and can share them with others.
Take and and Happy New Year,

January 6th-
Happy New Year! Happy Birthday Laney!! Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!
New Year´s Eve was pretty tranquilo on our street. Nobody was partying or playing music really loudly. We could hear some that night, but not very close by.
Sounds like things are going pretty well over there! Things over here are alright too. Remember when I said there would be a baptism on the 2nd? Well, the date was changed for the Saturday before I leave. This baptism must happen. Or I will cry. Well, I am confident it will happen, I just really want it to happen while I am there to see it. This is the man whose whole family are members. We taught baptism, the gift of the Holy Ghost and endure to the end to him and we asked his wife how she´s been enduring to the end all these years. She said it is hard but she keeps the vision in mind of the celestial kingdom and being there with her family. And she said, ¨I´m not planning on going alone, I want to be with my family, with my companion.¨ They have a photo of themselves at the recent wedding of one of their sons. It´s of them walking through the doors of the reception, arm-in-arm, with these beautiful smiles on their faces. We pointed to it and we were like, ¨This is going to be you both walking into the kingdom of God as a couple one day!¨ It is also going to be them walking out of the temple after being sealed one day, and I am FOR SURE going to be there when it happens.
Other good news, we had 7 investigators at church on Sunday :D That´s never happened before!
Well, take care everyone, love,
Hna. J.
